PROJECTS: Hunters in Finland

Moose hunting is a very popular recreation in Finland. In the nation of just five million, over 120 000 hunters take part annually. The season is open from the last week of September until the end of each year. In 2009, the state has granted over 53 000 moose killing permits.

These are portraits of moose hunters in Kitee, Eastern Finland.
